Motley (A0974130)

I am a 1-year old, male, Chihuahua who was brought to the North Central Animal Care Center with a fractured right pelvis. I am really doing great now- walking around and eating well. The medical staff at North Central says my pelvis will likely recover with strict cage rest, but I will need a thorough follow-up with an orthopedic specialist. I am a sweet dog looking for a great new home! Please donate the STAR Program to help more Chihuahuas like me get the “star” treatment.

Sissy (A0976246)

I am a sweet and gentle, 10-month old, female, Pit bull puppy that was brought to the North Central Animal Care Center. I have demodex, a skin condition, and an old fracture of the right front leg that healed funny so I walk with a limp. The vet at North Central says that I am responding well to the meds for my skin condition and may need an orthopedic consultation to see if my right front leg can still be repaired. I am an adorable puppy and will make someone a wonderful family pet! Please make a donation to the STAR Program so that pups like me can receive the treatment they need and find loving homes!

Casi (A0940482)

I am a 5-year old, female Chihuahua at the West Valley Animal Shelter. I have severe periodontal disease, including mal-aligned teeth and bleeding gums. I am friendly and would love to meet you. You can also make donations to the STAR program to help me and my friends that need a little extra care to help us live long, healthy lives.

Amos A0955202

I am a handsome, 5-year old, male, Welsh Corgi mix who came to the North Central Animal Care Center with an extensive laceration wound on my left shoulder area that appeared to be old and was filled with maggots. The North Central medical staff cleaned and surgically sutured up the wound, and placed me on antibiotics and pain medications. Now, I am feeling great and on my way to a full recovery.   Please help me thank my caregivers by making a donation to the STAR program to help more abandoned dogs like me receive critical treatment and a new leash on life!

Pauly (A0958175)

I am a 5-month old, male, Lab mix puppy that came to the North Central Animal Care Center as a stray. I have demodetic mange, but I am currently responding well to medication and I have improved greatly. Cole (A0910874)

Hello everybody, my name is Cole and I am a 9-year old, neutered, Labrador retriever. I was brought to the West LA Animal Care Center by my owners who no longer could care for me. I have some of the ailments of senior dogs-arthritis and dental tartar. My leg tends to get stiff after I have been playing. I am very sweet and smart and a perfect candidate for the Senior-for-Seniors program. I will need to have ongoing treatment for my arthritis and I am currently on pain medication. Please help me find a home where I can live out the rest of my years or make a donation to the STAR program to help senior dogs like me!

A0967447

I am a 2-year old, male, Chihuahua mix who was brought to the North Central Animal Care Center after I was hit by a car. I am nursing pelvic fractures, as well as a luxated ankle joint, and I am on pain medications and under strict cage rest. I am a sweet little guy and the staff at North Central says that I am brave and full of life! I will need an orthopedic consult to determine whether surgery is necessary to repair my fractures or if cage rest alone will be enough to help me heal. Please donate to the STAR program so that there is funding for dogs like me to get the extra treatment and care that we need.

I am an adorable, 3-month old, male, German Shepherd puppy that was brought to the North Central Animal Care Center by the LAPD. Please donate to the STAR program to help pups like me!

Pasha (A0965845)

I am a 3-year old, female, Terrier who was hit by a car and brought by a good samaritan to the North Central Animal Care Center. I am a 5-month old, adorable, female, Rottweiler puppy who was brought as a stray ito the North Central Animal Care Center with a couple of broken toes on my hind foot as well as an abscess and puncture wound on that same foot. The abscess has been lanced and drains placed and I am doing well on pain medications and antibiotics. Once my abscess heals, my foot needs to be splinted for the broken toes which should heal well. Spice (A0956683)

I am an adorable, 11-year old, neutered Shih Tzu that was surrendered by my owners to the North Central Animal Care Center because they did not want to take care of me. When I arrived at North Central, I had severe infections in both my ears and eyes, as well as skin problems. The medical staff has been administering multiple treatments and my eyes and skin have improved greatly. They also found that I have a skin condition with hair loss --possibly due to chronic allergies -- and will need long term care and treatment. I am a wonderful little guy and be perfect for the Seniors-4-Seniors program! Please donate to the STAR program today to help more dogs like me with medical issues that have been abandoned, receive the treatment and care that they need.

Mickey (A0954593)

I am a male Maltese that was returned to the West Valley Animal Care Center because my owner did not want to pay for my medical treatment. I have severe dental disease - not uncommon to dogs of my age & breed - which, by itself, is not too tough to remedy. It is a little complicated because I also have a heart murmur which places me at a higher level of anesthetic risk. I will need a full cardiac workup including, comprehensive blood tests, ECG, ultrasonography and radiology. I know I will feel so much better when I get cleared for dentistry and can receive the dental work and heart medication that I need! Please donate to the STAR program to help more dogs like me receive the dental and medical treatment that we need to live fabulous lives!

Sherbert (A0955192)

I am a loving, affectionate, 2-year old, male, orange tabby who was brought as a stray to the North Central Animal Care Center.  North Central staff think that I was likely hit by a car or suffered from some other traumatic incident. I can walk, but my back legs are weak and I tend to drag my left hind leg. I am currently under treatment and seem to have regained more strength in my legs, but I will likely walk funny for the rest of my life. Otherwise, I am doing great and I am full of love and energy! Please donate to the STAR program to help more injured cats like me receive treatment and a chance at a pain free life!

A0956544

I am an adorable, 1-year old, male, brindled Terrier who was brought as a stray to the North Central Animal Care Center with wounds all over my body.  Staff believes I was hit by a car. I have a rather large wound on my right arm that is too large to suture. The veterinarians keep it bandaged and monitor it carefully, but I may need a skin graft or amputation if it does not heal. I have a great temperament and will make a wonderful family pet.  Please come visit me and make a donation to the STAR program to help hit-and-run victims like me have a second chance and find a loving home!

Snickers (A0956082)

I am a beautiful, 4-month old, male, Doberman pinscher puppy who got in a bit of trouble and was hit by a car. I was brought to the North Central Animal Care Center where they found I have a broken left hind leg. I currently have a splint on my leg and I am being treated with pain medications and antibiotics. Please help a sweet little guy like me receive the surgery I need by making a donation to the STAR program today!

A0955022

I am a gentle, little, 3-year old, female, Chihuahua who came to the North Central Animal Care Center in shock and with deep bite wounds all over my body. Staff thinks I was likely mauled by another dog. The medical staff has been diligently treating me for many days now and I am almost fully recovered -- the puncture wounds have healed well and I am active and doing great! I am the perfect package-small and sweet and very loving. Please help me find a loving new home or make a donation to the STAR program to help more little dogs like me receive loving care and treatment to recover from traumatic injuries!

Smurfette (A0944852)

I am a very sweet, one-year old kitty that was brought to the West Valley Animal Care Center as a stray. Upon examination, the West Valley vet staff found a big open wound on my throat area. They were able to clip & clean the area and start me on medication, but they say that I will definitely need surgical intervention to remove unwanted tissue around the wound & possibly place drains. Post surgical wound management will be more intensive than usual, but given the right course of treatment, they are sure that I will recover well & be ready to be adopted to a good household. Please donate to the STAR Program to help cats like me have a chance to live all of his/her 9 lives!

BELLA (A0820169)

I am a spayed female, 6-year old, tan and white Chihuahua - Smooth Coated mix.
I was brought to the North Central Animal Care Center by my owners because they no longer had time to take care of me. The North Central medical staff saw I had alopecia on my head, extremities and ventral thorax, and started to run tests to isolate the cause of my ailment immediately. I am a very sweet and friendly little girl. Once my skin problems can be treated, I will be ready for my glamour shots! Please continue to donate to the STAR Program to help dogs like me who have lost their home, so that we can receive the treatment we need to help us get adopted.

King (A0946962)

I am a handsome, 3-year old, male, Domestic Shorthair who suffered from a urinary blockage. The medical staff at the North Central Animal Care Center placed a urinary catheter in me to remove the blockage and I am currently doing well. With continued follow up treatment from a loving owner, I will undoubtedly be a devoted pet. Please donate to the STAR Program to help more cats like me in need of emergency medical treatment.

Todd (A933996)

I am a male, Am Staff Terrier that was brought to the North Central Animal Care Center by the LAPD. I came in with a chronic fracture of my right hind leg and an oozing wound. I clearly have been nursing this injury for a long time because my leg is twisted and deformed. The vet staff at North Central thinks that I am a really sweet boy and they are taking good care of me. However, I will most likely need to have my leg amputated. Please donate to the STAR Program so that I can receive the surgery and treatment that I need to make me a happy boy again!
